NEVER IN MY RECOLLECTION HAVE WE FAILED TO GIVE OUR RESPECTS TO OUR BELOVED NUESTRA SENORA DEL PILAR IN THE PAST in whatever situation or circircumstance we were, except NOW! VERY DISTURBING! What a shame? Is it because of fear or insecurity, or the inadequacy of government to protect our people? Just sincerely asking, since this PLACE and SHRINE has been A SYMBOL OF UNITY AMONG PEOPLE, even respected by our beloved Muslim brothers and Sisters. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. WE HAVE BEEN VICTIMS FOR SO LONG! It is about time that our NOVENA MASSES AND ACTIVITIES BE HELD AT FORT PILAR and NOTHING LESS. FEAR SHOULD NEVER ALLOWED TO DWELL IN OUR HEARTS. As taxpayers, it is the duty of our government to protect what is precious and sacred to us, ZAMBOANGUENOS! NOTHING SHOULD STOP US FROM THE EXERCISE OF OUR MOST TREASURED LOVE AND FAITH, OUR PROTECTOR AND INTERCESSOR OF OUR DEAR PEOPLE AND THE CITY OF ZAMBOANGA.
