NEVER LOSE HOPE It was a rainy afternoon while I am on my way home and a man riding in his wheelchair stole my attention. Curious and fascinated of his situation, I stopped and interviewed him for a while. I found out that this man traveled 3-5 kilometers to look for customers in his paid service in repairing broken umbrellas and torn shoes. If times were good he can go home with P200, if times are bad, he can go home with P50 or even P20 and sometimes empty pockets. His earnings are the only means that his family could survive in a day. If he will not travel and look for customers, his family will be hungry. What inspired me most is that he has been doing this daily for over 15 years. Because of impoverishment, he just accepted his fate and rely everything to God and he said to me, Life must go on. It is not a matter of giving up after everything else is against you. It is a matter of living full of hope and that someday everything on this earth will be made new!!
