Here is how to rig a bass stopper worm with cast a weight sinker…. -Step one. Tie a barrel swivel to the end of your line. -Step two. Take the loop at the end of the stopper worm and attach it to the swivel. -Step three. Pinch the sinker on your line about 18 up from the worm. How to fish this set up…. One way to fish this set up is just like a Carolina rig. A Carolina rig is basically a weight above the soft plastic. Cast the bass stopper out and let it sink to, or near the bottom. Slowly retrieve, jigging up about 10 inches and back down picking up slack. When lifting up on the worm be ready for a strike. If pulling up and you feel a tug on the line, set the hook. It might be a fish. Another great way to fish this setup is to throw out the Stopper worm parallel to a weed line or drop off, let it sink near the bottom and slowly retrieve the worm.
