NEW CHAMPIONS FOR INTER PENTECOSTAL LEAGUE Hamariah, Ajman: Thats it!! The wait is over!! New champions of Inter Pentecostal League (IPL) UAE crowned as RAK Royals cruise onto a 17 run victory over IPC Chargers, on 9th November, 2013 at Hamariah Sports & Cultural Club. Though the Chargers put on some pressure on the Royals, consistent losing of wickets shifted pressure onto to the batting side. It was a steep hill to be climbed for the Chargers after an explosive batting from Jiby and Shibin, and the losing of their wickets added more pain to the wounds of the Chargers, ultimately succumbing to the defeat. The Royals scored 163 for the loss of 3 wickets whereas the Chargers could only score 146 for the loss of 7 wickets. RAK Royals always looked in the driving seat throughout the tournament, but the Finals was a tight and competitive one, that no one could predict the winner till the last over. Tensed faces of the supporters of both teams were to be seen in the venue. Ultimately, RAK Royals emerged as the winners of the 4th edition of The Inter Pentecostal League, for the second time, their previous victory being in the second edition. Jiby was awarded the Man Of The mach for his unbeaten score of 73, and also the Mn Of The Tournament award for his consistent run throughout the series, that helped the Royals in their winning streak.
