NEW COMMERCIAL PROJECT / SAFFRON INDIAN CUISINE we are very pleased to announce that we have been commissioned to fabricate custom TABLE TOPS for the highly acclaimed SAFFRON INDIAN CUISINE (saffronstl.net), located at 2137 Barrett Station Road in Des Peres, and named the 2013 Best Indian Restaurant in St. Louis in The Riverfront Times reader’s poll. the popular restaurant was in need of an upgrade to several key areas and better suited tables were a major priority, so weve been tasked to fabricate all of the restaurant’s 20 table tops in four different sizes. the table tops feature traditional café table top construction: center panel with border, but at 1-1/2” thick and made out of A-grade, no-added formaldehyde, FSC-certified veneer core hardwood plywood for the center panel, and local, St. Louis-harvested solid wood for the 1-1/2” wide border. the center panel and border will receive different custom color wood stains, and their logo will be silk screened into two sides of each table. finally, the table tops will be finished with a hand-poured and applied, two-part, plant-based epoxy high gloss finish. as per you-know-how-we-do, this project focuses on a carefully crafted combination of locally harvested, and sustainably harvested woods, and healthy, low-VOC topcoat finishes to produce a unique look and feel for our client. stay tuned for project process photos and follow them on Facebook here: Saffron Indian Cuisine
