**NEW COMMITTEE POSITION** Hello all, We just finished our first committee meeting for next year and we have some very exciting stuff in store for you. I will let you know details as dates are firmed up so watch this space! We have also decided to create a new committee position! which we hope to fill this term, for those who missed out on the email I just sent; please see below: Next years committee have just finished their first meeting. We have decided to create a new committee position; Campaigns Officer. This is a position that will, in all likelihood only exist next year as it is election year. We would like the new committee member to be in place before the start of next year so unfortunately there will be no general vote. However any society member can apply for the role by writing a short covering letter highlighting what you can bring to the role and sending it to [email protected] by the 20th of May. All applications will be put to next years committee for consideration. Chris Hulm, the outgoing president will also asses applications and help oversee the proccess to ensure that it is fair and transparent. Anyone who stood unsuccesfully for a position at the AGM is also eligible to apply. The role will centre around coordinating the societys campaigning efforts in the lead up to the 2015 election. It will offer a great experience of political campaigning and liaising with CCHQ, CF leadership and candidates. It is also worth mentioning that the successful applicant will be eligible to apply for LUC Campaigns officer, potentially having an influence on the campaigning activities of all London University Societies.
