NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH “See, I am creating new heavens and a new earth – so wonderful that no one will even think about the old ones anymore.” Isaiah 65:17, LB Unlike the present heaven and earth, the new ones are eternal, safe, peaceful and full of abundance. This new creation will be a world of delight where there will be security while misery will not exist there. God will give eternal life to all there; thus, fulfilling the promise of victory over death. The promise of new heavens and a new earth provides hope as tragedy will give way to triumph and pressures of all kinds will give way to round-about peace. The determinant factor of being part of the coming new creation or not is acceptance or rejection of God’s offer of love through Jesus Christ. Jesus has even gone ahead to prepare a place for all those who come to God through Him (John 14:1-3). Focus no more on your problems or succumb to fears and worries but look unto God who controls the affairs of the world; He will make all things new in due time.
