NEW POSITION: Benefits & Injury Management Administrator Location: Toronto, ON The Benefits & Injury Management Administrator will function as the main contact for all eligible salaried and hourly employees with regard to their employee health and dental benefits plan. In addition, they will also provide support for workers compensation case management throughout Canada. This position reports to the National Health & Safety Manager and is located at our Toronto office near Pearson Airport. Summary of Position: - Process forms for new enrollments, termination and changes with regard to benefits plan. - Answer employee inquiries related to their plan & assist with any issues. - Act as a go-between for employees and benefits carrier as necessary. - Handle all benefits related billings & reconciliations. - Entering new premiums and payment adjustments into payroll system. - Coordinating continuation of benefits payments for employees on leave. - Oversee any employee communications with regard to benefits news and updates. - Maintain Long Term & Short Term Disability employee files. - Create and distribute monthly health & safety news letter. - Act as the point of contact for nationwide workers compensation programs. - Process and tracking of all necessary forms. - Maintain case files for each employee. - Update injury management database. - Ongoing communication with employees, employer and workers compensations boards on a case by case basis. - For each case, ensure early intervention and return to work plans are in place as necessary. Qualifications: - Successful candidates come with post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field. - 1-2 years of practical experience with benefits administration, exposure to other HR areas is an asset. - Familiarity with injury management case work. - Working towards a CHRP designation is a plus. - Experience with Ceridian Blue Insync or other payroll/HR systems. - Excellent computer skills – MS Office, expert level Excel user is a must. - Some knowledge of labour-related legislation. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Proper phone etiquette and people skills.
