NEW Q & A FEATURE AT TIMBERDOODLE.COM When we started - TopicsExpress

NEW Q & A FEATURE AT TIMBERDOODLE.COM When we started homeschooling 30 years ago the journey was fraught with questions. Is this reading program too intense? Would a hands-on child be overwhelmed by the math workbooks? Is there anything in the history program that would appeal to an artistic daughter? Are the video instructions delightful or dreary? ...and so on. Thirty years ago we had no Facebook, no emails, no websites to speak of, so homeschoolers exchanged bits of information at monthly meetings. Nowadays, homeschoolers have a plethora of rich resources, yet nothing compares to personal experience. And because I have homeschooled only our five children through high school I am looking to you, our loyal customer base, to provide each other with insights and discoveries that our review team did not catch. See a Civil War book on our site that intrigues you, but you worry that the illustrations may be too graphic for your sensitive five-year-old? Ask. Wondering how sticky that Thinking Putty is and will Bubber really come out of the carpet? Just ask. Is the Apologia Student Notebook really necessary, or is a blank notebook adequate? You know what to do. On the flipside, if you have purchased an item from Timberdoodle you may occasionally be asked to answer a fellow parent’s question concerning that product. Not because we are too lazy, but because we are eager to hear from others in the trenches. Initially we will be contacting folks who have already reviewed that product. But if there are no reviews, then we will be asking customers who previously purchased it. Only five customers a day will be targeted with the question. Once one answer is received, no other emails will be sent, although we hope you will still consider adding your voice to the discussion. If you receive a question that you don’t have time to answer, just delete it, we won’t judge you – promise. You wont be deluged either, as youll never receive 2 questions within 30 days. Likewise, if you would prefer to never answer a question, just unsubscribe from Mail After Purchase emails at any time. (Your specific link is at the bottom of all review and Q & A emails.) It is that easy. Our desire is that this give-and-take leads to a flourishing community of parents who share a common thread of teaching their children at home. Thank you for helping us build that community!
