NEW REPORT: EWG used aerial photography and digital mapping to grade more than 8,000 miles of public waterways in required 50-foot buffer zones. Science shows that such buffers make an important contribution to cleaner water and stronger stream banks, but EWG found only 18% of waterways maintained all of the required buffer zones.
