***NEW app of the day*** (2.99) Fruity Fractions is a brilliant app to introduce fractions to kids in a fun and interactive way. With bright colours and fun fruit objects that will keep kids interested in learning. The app is fun and I really love what the developer has done to encourage children to want to learn. The app is broken up into levels which slowly teach children about fractions. They cannot move up a level without successfully completing the previous level. There are also some fun little activities which teach your kids about division and therefore fractions. The app recommends age group 6 - 10 however I think this is a bit advanced for a 6 year old. Children would need to not only be able to read but also to fully understand the concepts behind the question. A 6 & 7 year old would be able to do it with parents helping them to read and understand what is required of them. My daughter and I went into some lengthy discussions.
