NEWS FLASH: The House Health Sub-Committee just deferred the vote on Koozer-Kuhn until next week. This is gives supporters, led by Rep. Sherry Jones, additional time to find common ground with those who oppose the bill. Based on statements this afternoon, changes might include further restrictions on eligible conditions. We also have time to refute charges made by a physician from the Tennessee Department of Health regarding increases in DUI in medical states (when, in fact, the opposite is well-documented), the effect of marijuana on fetuses (there is no effect), and the we dont know enough nonsense when we know more about marijuana than almost all legal pharmaceuticals. Bottom line: we live to fight another day!
