NEWS FROM THE CENTER OF PAN-AFRICAN CULTURE: The Center of Pan-African Culture [CPAC] at Kent State University, in cooperation with the CPAC Student Advisory Council and Art Stuff is proud to announce: Under the Boubab II: A Festival of Pan-African Arts, Thursday evening, Nov. 7, 2013, at 7:00pm in the African Community Theatre [ACT]. Established in 1970, CPAC is a full service institution dedicated to the celebration and promotion of the arts and cultures of Africa and peoples of African descent living throughout the Americas. Under the Boubab II is a second annual showcase of student creativity here at Kent State University. This year’s showcase will feature: The Muntu Kuntu Energy Poet, Baba Okantah with special guest Ismail Douglass; Voices of Testimony; Duality, with Devin Bates & Bryan Miller-Foster; Amberleigh Green; LA Dub Z; Garmai Korto-Matthews; Young Troubled Minds and more. Doors open at 6:30pm. The African Community Theatre is located on the second floor of Oscar Ritchie Hall at Kent State University. For more information, call 330-672-2300.
