NEWS IN BRIEF Ghanas new economist on the block, Prof. Akua Adams Smith Keynes Donkor have propound two new strong and solid economic theories by close of yesterday at the NDCs National Economic Forum being held at the plush Royal Senchi Resort Hotel. She said, this will greatly inform the economic policies of the NDC government. It is believed shes strongly building on earlier work on the causes of business cycles, and shes widely considered in Ghana now, to be one of the most influential economist. Akua Adams Smith Kyenes Donkor argued that: a) Government should abolish the sale of generator plants because importers influence ECG workers to put lights off. b) Abolish the Sale of coins and dollars, as it is the main cause of the cedi depreciating against our major trading foreign currencies. These she believe, will go a long way to mitigate the adverse effects of the falling cedi and solve Ghanas energy crisis. Her great ideas were met with a round of applause from her other colleague economists at the forum, including Franklin Cudjoe of IMANI Ghana.
