NEWS RELEASE - TRAFFIC ADVISORY: The North Wildwood Police Department has issued a traffic advisory for the bicycle race portion of the Tri the Wildwoods Triathlon being held on city streets on Saturday, August 17th starting at 6:45AM. The bicycle portion of the race will start at 13th & JFK Boulevard and proceed to 2nd Ave., West on 2nd Ave. to Surf Ave., North on Surf Ave. to 1st Ave. and then West on 1st Ave. to Central Ave. The course continues North on Central Ave. to Spruce Ave. and then West on Spruce Ave. to Anglesea Drive. The racers continue on Anglesea Drive to Rt. 147. The racers turn right onto Rt. 147 and enter into Middle Township. There will be signage and detours set up along the route to assist with vehicular traffic. There will also be police officers assigned to traffic posts to assist motorists. The foot race and swimming portions of the triathlon will be held on the beach and boardwalk and will not interfere with pedestrian or vehicular traffic.
