NEWS RELEASE January 26, 2014 For Immediate Release Robbery on Dayton Avenue On January 26, 2014, at approximately 0339 hours, Officers of the Morgantown Police Department were dispatched to a Robbery that had just occurred on Dayton Avenue. The victim had been assaulted by two black males and they stole his backpack, laptop, cell phone, and wallet. The suspects fled the scene prior to the arrival of the responding Officers. According to the victim, the two black males had followed him as he walked onto Dayton Avenue. Once the victim was on Dayton Avenue, they tackled him to the ground and kicked and punched him repeatedly. At that time, they stole his belongings and fled the area on foot. One suspect was wearing a red, multi-colored jacket and the other suspect was wearing a gray and black jacket.
