NEWS UPDATE : 22 VILLAGES CLEARED FROM ENEMY PRESENCE IN SARIPUL PROVINCE OF AFGHANISTAN Tuesday, 17 September 2013 SARIPUL, Sep. 17 – Recent reports arriving from northern Saripul province say that past Friday, the locals of 22 villages in Kajan region of Kohistanat district began an uprising against the corrupt government and its Arbaki forces, clearing the entire area from The Afghan Local Police (ALP) and Afghan National Army (ANA) presence by 03:00 pm local time. Officials say that the locals then pledged their allegiance to the Islamic Emirate and gave full control of the region to the Mujahideen after a warm welcome.
