NEWS UPDATE AT 8AM WITH ORANGE As activists continue to downplay the recently passed HIV/AIDS control bill 2010, the chairman Uganda Aids Commission, Prof Vinand Nantulya, has also criticized the bill arguing that it is irrelevant and unnecessary. The inspector general of government Irene Mulyagonja has asked court for more time to conclude the investigations into a matter in which one of her staff is accused of soliciting for a 300 million bribe in order to exonerate the Acting Managing Director of National Social Security Fund Ms Geraldine Ssali, from the investigations she was carrying out against her. Presiding Magistrate Sarah Langa Siu adjourned the matter to June 24, to enable the IGG wind up the investigations before the full hearing can commence.
