The residents were protesting a murder of one of their own and yet to carry out mob justice on a private security guard. The guard is alleged to have killed his wife using his firearm. At least 144 members of school management committee and parents teachers Association of 12 primary schools in Adjumani district have been trained on how to promote peace and harmony among south Sudanese refugees and host communities. District authorities hope that the training will prevent clashes. The assistant district education officer Philip Akuku said the participants were also equipped with their roles and responsibilities of mobilization, disciplining, and planning including the operation and management of a school.
