NFL footballer Adrian Peterson is facing charges as a result of injuries his four year old suffered after he was whupped by Peterson. I was also a victim of such corrective actions as I grew up Roman, and back then, if we got caught up, even by our neighbors - they were given license to take care of business. Heck, when I was with the Boys and Girls Clubs, more than a few parents told me that we could do what we needed to do if their children stepped out of line. Although I understand the need to correct our young, I also know that 2014 is a long way from my days as a 1970s child...on the other hand, it is hard for me to imagine what a four year old might do to deserve such treatment...
