NH has a critical and amazing opportunity (right now) to change the relicensing requirements for licensed mental health professionals that would require 3 hours of training in suicide prevention, risk assessment,and management and/or response to suicide events. Currently in our State,very few mental health professionals receive formal academic training in suicide prevention.
