NIGHTS - Case Dock Laborer Dean Foods - Dallas, TX 75223 Removes cases from trucks safely and efficiently and forwards for washing. Separates broken cases and routes them properly. Cleans trucks and dock areas. Slide Case Stacks from truck using Milk Hook or Pallet Jack as appropriate. Safely handle all materials. Correctly prioritize which truck to empty first based on input from Supervisors or Yard Drivers. Continuously scan the area and straighten up to reduce trip and slip hazards. Spot broken or otherwise unusable cases and remove them to the designated area. Handle returned and truck inventory product as instructed. Clean trucks and dock areas as instructed. Responsible for adhering to food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer and SQF requirements and report any deficiencies. The employee will be required to use all personal protective equipment provided by the company in compliance with OSHA regulations. Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices. Learn and adhere to sanitation, safety and security policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or, equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred. Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach, and bend virtually the entire shift. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is necessary. Must be able to work in a wet environment . May occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals Overtime and working on holidays is often required. Be able to effectively work in a team environment. Be able to legibly write entries for record keeping. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to pass all medical exams, drug and background checks (including criminal).
