NIKITA PAWAR IAS Rank 18 Manav Rachna International University felicitated its student Nitika Pawar on obtaining 18th rank in Civil Services examination 2011 in her first attempt for the most prestigious position of Indian Administrative Services (IAS). A Manav Rachna alumnus, Nikita had completed her B.Tech in Biotechnology from Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET). A special ceremony was organized by the Faculty and Management of Manav Rachna International University including Chancellor MRIU, Dr. O.P Bhalla, Dr. N.C Wadhwa – Vice Chancellor – MRIU and Nikita’s proud parents in the campus to felicitate her. Dr. O.P Bhalla, Chancellor MRIU expressed his joy and blessed Nitika Pawar for a bright and prosperous career ahead. He emphasized the University’s vision and mission to impart quality education, while addressing the students. “Civil Services examination is one of the most difficult and prestigious examination in India. It is overwhelming to see our own students working hard, realize their dreams and making us proud”, said Dr. Bhalla. He further advised the students to make best use of all the facilities provided to them in the campus and strive towards land mark careers. Nitika Pawar too in her address advised students to discover themselves and consciously try to decide what they want to be in their life. She also advised not to get disheartened by failures and constantly put efforts to achieve your goals. She thanked the faculty and the university management for their constant support and motivation during the preparatory phase of her examination. Dr. N.C Wadhwa, Vice Chancellor of the University, a retired IAS officer himself, explained about the Indian Administrative Services, the roles and responsibilities of IAS officers and the challenges being faced by them. He baptized Nitika with ‘Guru mantra’ to work sincerely with full dedication towards the society. The function was concluded with ceremonial presentation of momento in presence of her parents .
