NJOGU BURIES BRAGE WOES BEHIND WITH DAKURD CONTRACT Published on Wednesday, 14 August 2013 16:34 | Written by Sulayman Bah By Sulayman Bah Njogu Demba has joined his sibling at third tier Dalkurd following his controversial exit from Brage. The third division Swedish club confirmed adding the Gambian forward to their array of striking potent with the contract duration undisclosed. The 34-year-old’s arrival makes up for potential lethal striking partnership with 20-year-old Omar Jagne –his younger sibling – also at the club and an established feature in the team lineup. His inclusion is hoped to give promotion-chasing Dalkurd a squad bolstering effect despite his age. The veteran Scorpion attacker quit former club Brage on a reported mutual consent but it later turned out squad rift was to blame for the move. The Ex-Brann and Panathiakos goal-poacher accused his ex-team-mates of disservice and disloyalty to ex-club Brage. According to Njogu, some of his former Brage mates ‘poisoned’ the coach to win preferential favours while others went about ostracizing the club new recruits hence shredding the team’s unity –allegations Brage team captain denied. However, that melee is history for the Gambian as he signed for an enterprising Dalkurd and a goal galore is already anticipated counting on his new partnership with his brother. Njogu had had stints in Greece, Denmark, Norway, in Engand with Notts County including a trial at Premier League side Tottenham Hotspurs last year and back to where it all began in Sweden. It has been a month of mass contract signing for Gambian players with Alieu Darbo [Zagreb], Aziz Corr Nyang [Malta], Seejou King [Sporting Lisbon], Alagie Sosseh[ Norway] Ebou Cham [Norway] and Ibou Touray of Premier League’s Everton all signing deals.
