NNAMDI AZIKIWE UNIVERSITY, AWKA ADMISSION OF STUDENTS FOR 2013/2014 ACADEMIC YEAR Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following programmes offered by NAU/UNIZIK Business School, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, for the 2013/2014 academic year. 1.1 PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES Professional Diploma Programmes in: (i) Accounting (ii) Banking and Finance (iii) Business Management (iv) Co-operative Economics and Management (v) Applied Economics (vi) Marketing (vii) Public Sector Management 1.2 REQUIREMENTS FOR DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES 1.2.1 Candidates should possess the NECO/WAEC certificate or GCE Ordinary Level with credit level passes in five subjects, including English Language and subjects relevant to the course obtained in not more than two (2) sittings. 1.2.2 REQUIREMENTS FOR DIFFERENT OPTIONS IN PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES 1 Accountancy Five credit level passes must include Mathematics and Economic s 2 Banking and Finance Five credit level passes must include Mathematics and Economic s 3 Business Management Five credit level passes must include English Language, Mathematics and Economics 4 Cooperative Economics and Management From any of these – Commerce. Accounting, Business, Government, Principle of Accountings. 5 Applied Economics Five credit level passes must include Mathematics and Economic 6 Marketing “O” level passes must include Mathematics and Economic 7 Public Sector Management Five credit level passes must include English Language, Economic, Mathematics plus any two Social Science subjects from any of these – Accounting, Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Office Practice and Secretarial Duties. Candidates with five credit at two (2) sittings in the relevant subjects which include English Language and with five to ten years administrative/ managerial experience are eligible. 1.3 DURATION OF PROGRAMME All programmes of the NAU/UNIZIK Business School are offered on Friday evenings and Saturdays to suit the convenience of busy executives. The duration for the Diploma programmes is 4 Semesters. 1.3.1 (i) Prospective candidates for admission into Diploma programmes should pay a non-refundable application fee of N10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Naira) at any of the banks in Unizik campus. (ii) Log on to my.unizik.edu.ng/ubs with pin number provided, upload your picture after completing the on-line form on our portal.
