NO MORE STILLBIRTHS AND MISCARRIAGES Few men during their lifetime come anywhere near exhausting the resources dwelling within them. There are deep wells of strength that are never used. - Richard E. Byrd Scripture reading: Isaiah 66:5-14 One of the saddest periods in life especially in the life of a woman of child-bearing age is the miscarriage of a pregnancy or the tragedy of stillbirth after carrying a pregnancy to term. Prior to the advent of the Caesarean section and other procedures to augment the birth process, the most devastating news one could receive from the labor room was the death of a baby by asphyxiation because the mother did not have strength at the final stages of labor to deliver successfully. Its therefore not surprising that in many hospitals the labor room could easily be distinguished from the rest of the wards by the shouts of push, push, push emanating from them as mothers are encouraged by healthcare professionals to exert their maximal strength at the final stage of active labor. The birthing of godly visions by believers in the spiritual realm follows the same process as described in the natural. After conception and sustenance of a divine vision or purpose, one needs supernatural strength to push it into manifestation. There are many true visions and purposes of God which are aborted and suffer death at delivery in the lives of children of God on a consistent basis. Its one thing conceiving and carrying a godly vision to full term and its another having the strength to successfully delivering it. During the height of the siege of Jerusalem by the Assyrian King Sennacherib, the king of Judah called Hezekiah greatly lamented on the Jews lack of strength at a crucial moment of their history to break loose from the stranglehold of the enemy when he said to the prophet Isaiah, Thus says Hezekiah: This day is a day of trouble, and rebuke, and blasphemy; for the children have come to birth, but there is no strength to bring them forth. - 2Kings 19:3. What a chilling and distressing message to receive from the labor room! Unfortunately, this distress call is quite common in the lives of many a child of God in our generation. We conceive, incubate and endure long periods of godly visions, purposes and miracles but dont see the fullness of their physical manifestation because of lack of strength to bring them forth. The message from the labor room in todays scripture reading takes on a cheerful tone when God promised His children who tremble at His word, Before she was in labor, she gave birth; before her pain came, She delivered a male child; who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion was in labor, She gave birth to her children; shall I bring to the time of birth, and not cause delivery? says the LORD. Shall I who cause delivery shut up the womb? says your God. - Isaiah 66:7-9. The promise of God comes clearly and forcefully to every child of God today that Hell give His children strength in labor to deliver divine visions, purposes and miracles in the fullness of their time. The days of premature labor and stillbirths are over for His people who are called by His Name including you. Be strong, courageous and of good cheer because your days of glory are just ahead of you. It has been a difficult period of conception and incubation of many divine plans and miracles in your life but the process is not over yet. Unlike in the past when noble ideas, concepts and plans were aborted or died at birth, this time around, Almighty God promises you divine strength for labor. Happy Octoberfast to our wonderful Oasis family! Weve been broken, restored and revived by the Lord. Bands of wickedness have been broken, heavy burdens loosed, oppressed freed and every yoke broken. Revival flames are tangibly falling upon each of us and the promise of God is loud and clear that, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream. - Isaiah 66:12. Memory verse: Shall I bring to the time of birth, and not cause delivery? says the LORD. Shall I who cause delivery shut up the womb? says your God. - Isaiah 66:9 Rev. Dr. Isaac Paintsil ©
