NORMALIZER 1, Minnemann/Brinkmann (produced 2000-2002, released in 2003). Its the second collaboration I did with synthesist Mario Brinkmann. Now, making that one was so much fun! Like on the later Normalizer2, its music composed to an approximate 50 min long drum solo (which was executed with that concept in mind). What happened here: ... over a period of time I recorded all sorts of funny or bizarre events that happened either on the road, in back stages or in everyday life (lots of famous musicians and friends included here ;-)). Then we transferred the audio files of these moments into the production and started writing basically a soundtrack around it all. God, making some of these chapters was so hilarious, man there were a few moments I almost peed my pants.... We were literally in tears laughing countless times while recording this one. Since there were also a few inside jokes involved, I of course hoped that wed be able to somehow share the humor of it. But then I remember one reviewer from Finland wrote: I wish every album would be like Normalizer .....that really meant a lot to me :-). Thanks for getting it...
