NOT BECAUSE WE ARE DOCTORS we are automatically rich. and not all doctors are lucky enough to have a good practice. Almost all of us doctors went to the usual process before we got to whereever we are now ( 4 years premed,4 years medicine proper,1year internship, 3-4 years of specialty training ( plus preparation for specialty exam,several years again if we want to pursue subspecialty training - that includes no social life, meager salary during specialty training but we all hurdles them because we want to be somebody someday and be able serve our patients well ) . Our lives are not made from bed of roses. We are honed in time by undergoing grueling hours of sleepless nights, preparing for conferences, getting scolded by our consultants if we err or missed something with our management ,exams, problematic even at home if our patients were able to have the important work ups done or if they were able to buy the much needed meds because our hospital has no enough funds being a govt childrens hospital. We even cry for our patients without them knowing it. We work hard .we are not artistas who easily get millions from talent fees from their superb talents even without undergoing the rigid schooling. Will they wait that most doctors will make an exodus outside the country to get the peace of mind and the respect we deserve creating again a shortage of doctors in the country.
