Newman - guitars Jarno Koivula - drums Biography : The band “Notch Above” was established in January 2013 in Espoo Finland. A melodic rock band, spiced up with a hint of grunge. The bands founding members and songwriters have been playing in other bands, Tom K. (Sinful Nation) as well Jens Kirkland (Cubehead). Notch Above released this spring / summer, six tracks and a music video for the song “Never Fail”. The feedback has been great and encouraging. On the Finnish web site”Mikseri.net” Notch Above has been on the sites front-page Spotlight for a week which raised a lot of interest of the bands music. In addition the bands ReverbNation site, Notch Above is currently ranked as number one (#1 national rank). There are already fans of the band in most parts of the world. We have about two albums of new material ready to be recorded and at the moment were looking for a record deal. Notch Above will start playing gigs in late autumn. Notch Above has also very talented new band members, drummer Jarno Koivula (including Bad Monks Hill), as well as guitarist Hank J.
