NOTHING BUT THE TOOTH A Swedish man being held in a minimum security prison had complained to officials about his painful tooth. But apparently they didn’t listen, so the 51-year-old inmate decided to break out of jail and see a dentist. “My whole face was swollen,” he told a local newspaper, “I just couldn’t stand it anymore.” Although his electronic bracelet went off, the prison officials couldn’t find him, or they just didn’t think to look at the dentist’s office. After having the inflamed tooth removed, the inmate called police, who gave him a ride back to prison. The man’s one-month sentence was increased by a day to make up for lost time. He has since been released. “Now I only have to pay the dentist,” he said.
