NOTICE: Credit Card Fraud Alert: ... I believe this is what happened to me at a local gas station near I-71 in Mason Ohio on Tuesday afternoon. Your getting gas at a pay at the pump is now a new hot spot for getting the debit card numbers and PIN codes of hundreds of people in the Cincinnati area. They are installing hard-to-spot card readers called a skimmer on top of the card reader built into the pump. Sometime it’s taped on with a sign or notice and sometimes it’s inside the pump out of sight. The skimmer is able to grab the account information from the card without interfering with the legitimate payment transaction. This is not an isolated case my friends, gas pumps are being compromised in cities across the country. It’s not an epidemic yet, but there are cases open in at least a half dozen states right now. Some of these crimes are inside jobs, involving someone working at the service station who has a key for the gas pumps. Now I know what to look for ... Chopper
