NOV 9, 2013 -- THANKSGIVING CHALLENGE-DAY 9 Psalm 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. 2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: ----- DAY 9 — PROVISION As I sat this morning writing out checks for my bills, I am reminded of all the stories in the Bible of God’s provision. So that is my reason to be thankful today. There are so many reasons it is often hard to chose one to write about. God does so very much for us all. He provided for the children of Israel in the wilderness. He provided for a widow and her son during a famine. He will do the same for us. With the economy shaky and the Obamacare issues leaving many worrying about even having a job. It is good for us to know that the job is not our security but God’s way, at this time, to provide for us. If the job goes away, God will still take care of his people. We have no reason to fear, because he holds us safe in the palm of his hand. Thank You Jesus for being my provider.
