Accounts Payable Supervisor 4 month contract – to start immediately Bellville, Cape Town PURPOSE: The purpose of the role is to control all creditors for monthly reporting, payment and reconciliations and monthly analysis of company expenses RESPONSIBILITIES: - Check payment requisitions from Creditors Clerk and to ensure accuracy - Schedule payments to fit in with the company’s cash flow objectives - Professionally deal with and manage supplier relationships - Ensuring all creditors clerk duties are actively managed - including, but not limited to, daily monitoring of invoices queue and booking of invoices on Oracle - Assistance with booking of invoices in Oracle and preparation of payments when needed - Assist staff with supplier queries - Provide information to Financial Controller and Head of Finance on request - Provide FP&A accountant with weekly cash forecasts, cash balances and payments schedule - Check accuracy and reasonability of monthly supplier provisions and sign off including confirming pricing of suppliers per contract - Calculate the COS for online sales for all the companies in the group - Compile and post intercompany invoices for COS and operating costs for all the companies on the Group - Prepare AP age analysis and reconciliation for month end reporting - Analyse monthly COS across the group - Analyse monthly operational expenditure and provide details to FP&A Accountant QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Creditors Control Experience of at least three years needed Post matric qualification Working with international creditors Computer literate (MS Office, Pastel). Oracle experience an advantage Analysis and logic, systematic and orderly planning, attention to detail Experience and relevant knowledge in effective supplier control.
