NPC promotes staff, redeploys directors Minister/ Deputy Chairman, National Planning Commission (NPC), Abubakar Sulaiman, has approved the promotion of 44 staff of the Commission, cutting across both the junior and senior cadres. Sulaiman, who also approved the redeployment of the directors within the Commission, hinted that staff audit would be carried out within the Commission and its agencies. A statement on Sunday by the Special Assistant to the Minister on Media, Abdulrahman Abdulrauf, quoted the Minister as saying that the promotion exercise was carried out to boost staff morale, considering the fact that the beneficiaries were long overdue for the gesture, assuring that future exercise would also be based strictly on merit. On the redeployment of directors, Sulaiman said: “the changes would apply to all cadres of staff in the Commission from time to time.” Sulaiman, who had a town hall meeting with the staff, assured them of repositioning the Commission in tandem with the current realities and promised to boost staff morale by providing necessary incentives
