NPLV FFV Board to be removed at General Meeting UPDATE No: 15 Friday, 6 September 2013 To All Clubs & 50 Co-Signatories – Release to Media, FFA & FFV 1 FFV Board to be removed at General Meeting Today we have been advised that the FFV Members (Zone Representatives, Chair of Standing Committees) have informed the FFV that a General Meeting will be called on the 27th Sept to remove all current FFV Directors. The FFV Members resolutions are attached. Below is the paragraph referring to the removal of the FFV Directors. “the FFV Board of Directors are acting contrary to the best interests of Registered Participants and Clubs in Victoria, and the members of FFV hereby resolve, pursuant to section 78 of the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012, to remove all current FFV Directors from their positions.” Many FFV members have obviously lost confidence with the current Directors of FFV. The 50 Co –signatory clubs reached a similar conclusion some time ago. The clubs support this action by the FFV members and look forward to working with a new FFV Board that is prepared to follow the core principles FFV have previously published (refer below). FFV Core Values Unity: Victorian football stakeholders will work together to deliver a shared vision and purpose for the growth and health of the game. Integrity: The affairs of the FFV will be unconditionally embedded in honesty and fairness. Respect: We will treat others the way we expect to be treated. We will also earn respect through becoming a positive and powerful force capable of delivering meaningful sport and social outcomes within the broader community. Openness: We will engage and communicate transparently with the football family and listen with open-mindedness. Performance: We will strive for service and business excellence off the field and inspired results on the field for Victorian clubs, players, coaches and referees. 2 Inspection of FFV’s Financial Position We have been advised that FFV members had sent a range of questions to the FFV Board recently which among other items had requested to inspect the FFV’s financial position. This request to inspect the financial position of the FFV has been ignored by the FFV Board and consequently we are very alarmed. The Co-signatory clubs will be convening shortly to decide what steps we need to take to potentially protect the finances of our football landscape. The clubs fund FFV and we all need to be confident that the current Incorporated Association (FFV), that has been tasked to service our football code, is well managed financially.
