NSF Grant helps STEM Professional transition to teaching. $16.5K stipend is available for 15 eligible candidates to complete Rio Salado Teacher Ed Program. Fifteen science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) professionals have a chance at re-careering as secondary classroom teachers with the help of a generous $16.5 K stipend provided by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and Rio Salados fast-track teacher education program. HUSD is in the process of hiring our own Noyce Scholar. Lindsey Buckle will be recommended to the Governing Board to teach math at Bradshaw Mountain Middle School. She lives in the area, has children in the district, and is completing her student-teaching with us. Welcome Lindsey!
