NUJ INFO CHAPEL GETS NEW EXCO Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ministry of Information and Communications Chapel has sworn in a new Exco. Speaking during the swearing in recently, the Chairman of the Rivers State Council of NUJ, Mr. Opaka Dokubo enjoined the new Exco to sustain the existing peace in the chapel. Mr. Opaka pointed out that Information chapel is the ‘‘mother’’ chapel in the State and therefore should set good example for other chapels. He expressed dissatisfaction with the non-challent attitude of some members of NUJ on meeting attendance and noted that attendance remains one of the criteria for any person seeking elective position in NUJ. Responding, the Chairman elect Mr. Okechukwu Maru on behalf of the new Exco thanked members of the chapel for coming in their numbers to exercise their franchise. Mr. Maru solicited for their support so that the chapel will move forward. Members of the New Exco are Chairman, Mr. Okechukwu Maru, Vice Chairman, Mr. ThankGod Nwaeke, Secretary, Miss Priscilla Okere, and Treasurer, Mrs. Ominini Cheitem-West.
