NWP–Kent State Presents Two Writers Workshops in June Weeklong Writers Workshop The National Writing Project at Kent State University presents “Writing the Common Core,” a weeklong intensive professional development workshop on writing for grades 3–11. The workshop will be held June 9–13, 8:30–3:30 daily, at 216 Whitehall, Kent State University. The cost is $325 per teacher (includes parking, one textbook, admission to the Write Here, Write Now workshop, sponsored by the National Writing Project at KSU on Thursday, June 12—see below). Participants have the option of earning 2 graduate workshop hours through Kent State University for an additional $300. The workshop is limited to 30 participants. One-Day Writers Workshop The National Writing Project at Kent State University presents “Write Here! Write Now! Best Practices for the Common Core: Writing and Reading to Learn,” featuring is Dr. Lori Wilfong as the keynote speaker. The workshop will take place on June 12, 8:30-3:30, at Moulton Hall Ballroom, Kent State. The cost for the workshop is $60.
