NWS will be issuing Lake-Effect Snow Watch with todays forecast update. All appears to be in line for a major lake-effect event Tuesday night into Wednesday with accumulations of 6+ a good bet along/east of I-65. Localized amounts over a foot possible across northern Porter county. Winds gusting up to 35 mph could cause blowing and drifting snow. Warning criteria is likely but threshold of 24 hours means watch only for now. Stay tuned.
