NY - A police officer and a sergeant in plain clothes in an unmarked vehicle were stopped at a traffic light (in Brooklyn) - a 25-year old man entered the car through the rear passenger side door, and got into a struggle with the sergeant in the front passenger seat. The sergeants firearm discharged inside of the vehicle. The suspect gained control of the sergeants firearm and then exited the vehicle and attempted to flee with the weapon in hand - three other officers responded to the scene, approached the armed suspect and gave verbal commands for him to drop the gun. An exchange of gunfire followed, with the suspect firing the sergeants stolen gun -The officers fired back at the suspect, who was shot - he was apprehended at the scene - in critical but stable condition - No officers were shot, but four officers were taken to Methodist Hospital for tinnitus, where they were treated
