Nairobi River has in the recent years borne the brunt of pollution orchestrated by increased human activities.The pollution of this river is a clear indication of the extent Kenyans have gone in terms of reneging on what should be their noble role of conserving the environment, even as the effects of climate change continue to be felt globally. Aware of these effects, Environment Ministry through Nairobi River Rehabilitation programme is spearheading efforts aimed at reclaiming the rivers former glory. Brenda Kiprono puts these latest efforts by the Prof. Judi Wakuhungu led Ministry into perspective.
