Naked And Open Hebrews 4:13 And there is no creature hidden - TopicsExpress

Naked And Open Hebrews 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. If we know anything about the nature of God, we understand that one of His attributes is that He knows everything, and sees everything, except for what He chooses not to see. He no longer looks on sins He has forgiven, because they are covered by the blood of His Son. He sees every evil act men commit, even though they say to themselves, if they believe in Him at all, that He doesnt (Psalms 94:7). The good news for those who serve Him is that His eyes are always on the righteous, and He always hears their cry (Psalms 34:15). Thats what we want to consider here. When the number seven appears in Scripture, in reference to the things of God, it always refers to completion, or perfection, because the Lord rested on the seventh day after completing creation in six. The letters in Revelation were written to seven churches, meaning the complete church, not just those seven individual ones. In Zechariah, the prophet sees a vision of seven candlesticks, just as John did in His vision of the churches. The angel who spoke with Zechariah told him the meaning of the candlesticks he saw: Zechariah 4:10 For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the LORD, Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth. That doesnt mean that God has seven eyes, but that His attention is directed to everything that happens on the earth, no matter how big or small. Yeshua said He sees every sparrow that falls and that He even numbers the hairs of our heads (Matthew 10:29-30). Yet, even as the wicked believe that God somehow does not see their deeds, we believers in Yeshua too often feel He doesnt see or care what is happening to us. “Doesnt He see whats happening to me? Doesnt He care?” Crisis comes, and we are in pain, or discouraged, or defeated, and it seems God is nowhere to be found. We cry out to Him, and He is silent. Yahweh, we say, has deserted us. Yeshua was asleep in the boat when a great storm arose. His disciples awoke Him with a cry, “Lord, dont You care that we perish?” (Mark 4:38) Their fear showed they really didnt trust that Yeshua was who He said He was. In the same way, when we are in distress, and nigh on to drowning, we also call on God to save us, as if He were asleep and unaware. There are reasons for His seeming blindness and deafness, including our disobedience and His desire to test our faith. The disciples only called on Yeshua after their own efforts to save themselves had failed, and we often do the same thing. God is our last resort, when we are so desperate that we have nowhere else to turn. As long as we remain in His rest, in the place of safety that comes from faith and obedience, we have nothing to fear. Its when we wander outside that the storms threaten to overcome us. We are never in a place where God cannot see us (Psalms 139:7-12). Like every other creature, we are naked and open to Him. Our problem is realizing that, both when we walk off onto our own paths, and when we fall into the pits we couldnt see. Prayer: You tell us, Daddy God, that we are the apple of Your eye, the center of Your attention, as Your people. We rejoice that You see us wherever we are, even when we go astray. We thank You that when we call on You, You will answer our call. May we ever abide in You, that there would never come a time we are not aware of Your presence. In Yeshuas name. Amen! Brenda K.
