Namah shivay! In a light hearted manner, Baba ji takes a dig at the illogical and misleading belief systems, practicing which is nothing but deceiving oneself. In the video, Baba ji has made the following points: 1. Religious fanatics have driven rites and rituals using the inherent guilt, fear and greed in us humans. This, they did out of gaining a stronghold over the followers, not knowing that religion is a medium to attain the divine and not a means to further personal agendas. 2. Baba ji urged the sadhaks to give up with foolish practices like: a) Not eating certain food items on certain days, thinking them to be dedicated days of divine powers. Baba ji said that God lies every moment every second everywhere. There is no question of special days for particular deities. b) Not keeping Shiv Lingas, Shree Yantras at home because their energy will be too much for us to bear. Baba ji said that we must harbour love towards God and not fear. He added that we must come out of the limitations of not keeping this not keeping that. c) Certain people advocate keeping Lord Ganeshas idols in a manner such that His trunk is bent towards right or left. Baba ji insisted that it was laughable how bending of truck on one side could impact your fortunes. d) Finding auspicious timings for certain rituals. Baba ji said that for a Shiv Yogi, every moment is divine. e) Charting horoscopes is resigning yourself to your predestined fate. Baba ji said that all ShivYogis must carve their own 12 houses of horoscope by changing their karmas through sadhna. f) Baba ji also shed light on the fact that one must not discriminate between animals, terming some as holy and others as unholy. He cited His own example. When some people told him that cats are considered inauspicious, He domesticated a number of cats to show that it is our wrong thinking which labels even animals as good or bad and in reality God resided in a non partisan manner in all of its Creation called the Prakruti.. 3. Baba ji implored all the sadhaks to raise their consciousness through regular meditation, pay attention to their bad habits, negative psychic impressions and drawbacks instead of taking to gimmickry of wearing stones, meeting astrologers and following popular practices. Baba ji also reiterated that luck is nothing but our karma and that we must continuously make efforts to become the best by following the teachings of sadhna, sewa and sankirtan.
