Namaste everyone. I hope this isnt too forward of a post. Let me start by saying that Im so excited I came across this group. You have to forgive me when I admit that I stumbled across it as a suggested group. Maybe its my own internalized oppression around race...I never thought to search for a black yoga group on here. Im really looking forward to learning with and from you all, and hopefuly meeting some of you during this lifetime. Ill be certified in May (YEAH!!!) and Im looking to make some major changes in my life in order to teach yoga as much as possible. I wont go into too much detail, but my heart is really calling me to teach as a form of karma yoga. Im considering (i.e. strongly wishing, hoping, thinking and praying) moving to Oakland (and the Bay Area in general) to be a part of the history and some of the growth I hear has been taking place there (in spite of the gentrification). Does anyone have any advice, possible teaching leads, or any other helpful tidbits for a new yoga teacher from good ol St. Louie?
