Name: James Dowtin Age: 30 D.O.B: 06/15/1984 Convicted of: Drug Conspiracy Release date: Pre-trial, not sentenced yet Will write overseas: No I am African American, born and raised in Brooklyn New-York. I’ve been incarcerated since 2010 fighting my case. I have recently pleaded guilty to 180 months, I am awaiting sentence. One of my reason I am doing this profile is to meet new people and try to surround myself with positivity upon my release. Since I’ve been incarcerated, I learn new things about myself. One thing in particular is patience, something I didn’t have when I was on the streets. When I wanted things, I had to have it right away and that was a major result into me thinking hustling and fast money was the way. And now I know it wasn’t at all. I have 3 daughters age 13, 9 and 8 and I love my daughters dearly. And through this absent time of me out of their lives it is very painful knowing I can’t be there to watch them grow but I have a very understanding relationship with all of them at this point and time of their life. Things I do to occupy my time is work out, play basket ball, read books, self improving books not hood novels. I am interested into meeting new people and building friendships and I am in search of happiness for myself and others. I love to make people laugh and smile. I will like to talk and correspond with anyone who is willing to build a long term friendship with me. I am open to meet new people and talk about life and life time experiences. This is the time to find myself, it is only temporarily that I will be away. Hopefully if I find a friend or pen pal in the future, we can do more activities and go watch a basket ball game or go to a comedy club, things of that nature.
