Namibia Needs a Visionary Leader AS WE draw closer to the general - TopicsExpress

Namibia Needs a Visionary Leader AS WE draw closer to the general election for a new National Assembly as well as a new President, Namibia needs a true leader, a son of the soil of this “Land of the Brave”. The country needs a leader who will bring hope to our nation. A leader to free us from of economic oppression. A leader who will promote education and relieve the poor from poverty. We need a leader who is selfless and altruistic, one who would give his fame and fortune for the sake of the two million Namibians, and one who would sacrifice his own beliefs to do what is right for our country. We need a leader who will create job opportunities. We need an uncorrupted, intelligent leader who works day and night to once again encourage the Namibian dream. We need a leader who will act, one who will motivate us to walk the talk towards Vision 2030 goals and beyond. We need a revolutionary, one who is a visionary, a strategist, an analytical thinker! Like Tata Madiba, we need a leader who makes his people feel loved, respected and honoured. This kind of leader is considerate and puts national agenda first. He/she takes action, knowing it is not only beneficial to him/her but also to his/her people. Is always ready to tackle arising challenges and most importantly is a listener, to make well-informed decisions. We want a leader who is always focused and never far from goals and mission. Most of all, the leader must have utmost respect for human dignity and not see other people as instruments to abuse or as enemies, but partners in development. Namibia needs a leader who can put politics of political parties aside and address the challenges we Namibians, particularly young Namibians, face. Namibia needs leadership that is emotionally healthy, leaders who are willing to endure a healthy debate without being emotional. Namibia needs leadership that is meek, people who are accountable and don’t point fingers when faults arise; not always rushing to blame westerners or donors. We want leaders who realise that if you mess up, it is your responsibility to clean up. Yes, we have good leaders, but they all don’t deliver, they make policies and just pile them up in their offices, what we need is an implementer, one who takes immediate action. We need a leader who will appoint young blood to Cabinet and get rid of the deadwood who clearly cannot contribute to the development of Namibia anymore. Don’t get me wrong: most of our old guards in government fought for the independence of Namibia. For that, we celebrate them and appreciate them for their sacrifices. Namibia will forever be indebted to them for their selfless acts. But it’s now our time to take over and elevate this country to the next level. If we are to work towards Vision 2030 goals, a visionary leader is most definitely needed to speed up the pace at which we move.
