Namo Buddha is a popular Buddhist shrine in Kavre district very much known as a place where a Shakya prince fed his own flesh to a starving lioness unable to provide enough milk to its cubs. Yes, lioness alongwith its cubs survived, and the prince died. It was before the birth of Siddhartha Gautam in Lumbini. You would see a stone inscription depicting that event.
