Nap time was a wondering time with my two-year-old until we had our second child. We used to read three books, cuddle, and fall asleep together. Now, it is too long a process to do while my littlest is sleeping. I cant do it with both of them, because my oldest gets too distracted and excited, and the littlest inevitably starts crying. I thought things would get better, but my youngest is seven months old and nap time is still horrible. Ive pretty much stopped giving my oldest naps because all the crying was too much, but he is a mess the second-half of the day then. I think the only solution is to try to get him to nap on his own, but I dont know how to ease him into it. If I put him in his room alone, he just cries, so I bring him back out (he even has toys in there). The only luck I have is driving them around right now. I would REALLY, REALLY appreciate any advice. We are gentle parents, so this process feels like a no-win (lots of crying no matter how hard I try).
