Narcissist and Echo , poem i wrote Every word she listened to ,until she no longer heard her own, Every command obeyed just to be left alone, She never understood why jealousy ruled his heart, He never really loved her not even from the start. His voice it must be must be heard and never over thrown, He would make her echo him instructions would be shown , He never listened to her , he believed her to be stupid but he mistook patience for weakness, in this courtship there was no cupid. And when he stands at deaths door and finds himself alone too arrogant to see this choice was all his own. Woe is he woe is he for loneliness is cruel but arrogance breeds isolation for every sort of fool . Told her she wasn’t pretty told her she was old told her she was mediocre but the world saw her spin gold , she started to believe him and echoed like her name “ i can’t do this anymore to speak it causes pain ” It never really bothered him if he made her cry in fact he quite enjoyed it it almost made him high , It never really bothered him until he faced old age His vanity and needing no one became a twisted cage. I guess if he had listened to echo from the start, maybe he would have loved her and opened up his heart. But ego was so powerful exploding up his head and echo would never convince, you can’t convince the dead.
