Narendra Modi: Loner, vegetarian and a Bhakhri-Khichdi lover, always ready with a witty one-liner, son of a tea-seller and a domestic servant ( a kind word for a kaamwaali) ) , a bramhcharya, married at 17 against his will to a 13 year old and a non-consumated marriage , spent several days in the Himalays as a Sanyaasi: returned back to become Gujarats most successful Chief Minister, currently in his fourth term, all set to become the Prime Minister of the worlds most complex country: a country I have still not understood even though having lived here practically all my life. Democracy is still alive and thriving and gives a hope to ordinary people that nothing is impossible. Denied a visa by USA, he has ironically done an American diploma on Public relations. Fasting all nine days during the Navrtari by eating only one fruit, he is a a natty dresser with immaculately styled clothing, sleeping for only four hours a day, Mody is at work by 7 am and ends his day at 10.night. My only wish that the rest of the country enjoys the same comforts that Gujarat enjoys. Jai HInd.
